Members can enjoy both casual and fine dining spaces at the River Run Clubhouse, as well as new dining menus, featuring a variety of cuisine and dining events. The Executive Chef, along with the entire Food and Beverage team, creates mouthwatering cuisine perfect for a variety of events – from weekday dining, to poolside snacks and special occasion dinners. Outside of River Run, in the town of Davidson, locals gather for meals at restaurants such as trendy hot spot Kindred or quaint hole-in-the-wall, The Pickled Peach.
While River Run doesn’t have any local stores in the community, the charming town of Davidson offers several unique places to shop. Bibliophiles will love stopping by Main Street Books, a locally owned bookstore and gift shop. For the more fashion forward, MINE by Sandy offers women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. And if you’ve got a sweet tooth, Davidson Chocolate Company is the perfect spot in town to pop by for some homemade chocolate treats.
River Run holds Club-Hosted Golf Tournaments throughout the year and is home to one of the most exceptional golf courses in the Carolinas. The 7,300-yard course features Bermuda fairways and Champions Ultra Dwarf greens year-round. Recent improvements to the course included work on the tee boxes, a new short game area and an expanded practice facility. It has been the site of some of the biggest tournaments in the Southeast such as the Web.com TOUR's Chiquita Classic.

Popular events in Davidson include summer Concerts on the Green, the Fall Arts Festival, and the much anticipated Christmas in Davidson, when the town celebrates the holiday season December 1st through December 12th a variety of events, contests, photo-ops, drive-in movies and more.
