Huntersville is located on the southern edge of Lake Norman and is just a 15- to 30-minute drive from Charlotte. Considered one of the best places to live in North Carolina, the community has a population of nearly 60,000 residents and offers plenty to do. 

This Southern town has a rich history. Huntersville is the first Lake Norman town north of Charlotte and was officially recognized in 1873. It was originally named Craighead, but that name was later changed to Huntersville. As railroads were developed, the town experienced rapid growth, and it has since grown and flourished into the thriving town it is today.
